Housed in the former stables of the Château de Grouchy, the museum has an excellent location in a park where nature, art and history meet. After operating for over 20 years in the Osny Fire Station, the museum moved in 1999 to its current location. In a large hall, the firefighting equipment (18th cent. to today) is presented: vehicles, pumps, breathing apparatus, etc.. You will also discover the history of uniforms, helmets and caps from 1830 to 1960, and an impressive collection of toys, the oldest dating from the 19th century. Living and learning: this museum serves as a real educational tool. It gives prevention advice to children by presenting real-life situations that help them understand the dangers of fire and the consequences that may result.
