Description

Housed in the former stables of the Ch?teau de Grouchy, the museum has an excellent location in a park where nature, art and history are given by appointment.

After operating for over 20 years in the Fire Firemen Osny, the museum moved in 1999 in the former stables of the Ch?teau de Grouchy.
In a large hall, presented the equipment to fight against the burning of the 18th century to today: hand pumps, vehicles, pumps, breathing apparatus, etc.. Room traces the history of uniforms, helmets and caps from 1830 to 1960. Finally, a bathroom, especially for children, to discover an impressive collection of toys, the oldest dating from the 19th century.

Living and learning, this museum is a real educational tool, for the prevention advice given to children, by presenting some memories of intervention that make them understand the dangers of fire and the consequences that may result.
